Still haven't had time to test. I've been in driver hell for two days, because I screwed up and bought my daughter a new pen tablet without researching it first. Of course it's too new, and not supported yet, and you have to change out the kernel and the kitchen sink to get it working. I actually bought her a new computer with Windows on it to solve this problem, but she, having grown up on KDE and Linux, found Windows intolerably icky to use, since it only has one desktop. I think it's funny that my kids are more married to Linux than I am at this point. Anyway, I'm writing to point out that I had a play with Rosegarden on her new machine, and bwv-1060-trumpet-excerpt.rg in SVN has the same problem I was talking about earlier, when played with a virgin snow fresh build of trunk. Only one segment sounds, and the initial volume comes up 0 on both instruments. I piddled around briefly, and the stuff I did on my main development box to get the file playing did not work on her computer. There's something pretty nasty afoot there. Congratulations in advance for getting all that stuff working, Tom. I'm sure I'll be amazed once I snatch enough time to sit down with it. -- D.
