In case anyone is wondering, my K3 is running tickety-boo now that the
KIO3 board has been replaced (thanks to Gary Surrency for diagnosis and
the rest of Elecraft service folks who got me the replacement board tout

Hi, all, hope someone can help! I have updated my K3 with just about

suddenly reported that no K3 communications are available. I've done

also have checked for proper mating of the KIO3 but no go. It still

K3 #584 must have had the old audio pots which are fantastic -- they
have a solid feel to them and coupled with the knobs (which sorta add to
the old-timey flavor) it reminds me of knobs on my Drake 2B or an old
Hallicrafters radio!

The Elecraft Web site indicates its a simple operation to switch from

How many people really do this ?
I just bought a used K1 and it has a 4 band installed and a extra 2 band
board, it sure doesn't look that easy,
