Yes it is, but I think that if you put a ND filter on the front of a TTL
flash the output will be regulated for giving the correct exposure (no
contrast control), that´s the way the TTL goes, the camera read the
exposure, is like if you were trying to underexposure a photo using a ND
filter on

Spotmatics. It doesn't. What battery is required. I can still get mercury
batteries if that is what it takes.

That's correct. The SP-F has a voltage regulator in the circuit so that
anything 1.35 or higher will work without a problem.

I bought a Horizon 8x for I think $39 at BH a year ago. Probably not the

Basically we said the same thing. The ND filter cuts down the
flow (output) on one flash, while the other sprays more light.
The camera shuts them both down at the same time.
