Something I just noticed...
I took the lens off my Mz-S and put a body cap on, but did not turn the
camera off. The little LED to help fit the lens comes on and stays on.
Perhaps this is the cause of some of the surprise battery drain in this camera?

the flash is off mount) it still uses the FP5 cord and adapters that the
other Pentax digital flashes use. It does not have a socket for the cord
to plug into directly, unlike the AF500 or AF400.

idea that you could pop open the shutter in the dark and it would stay open
for however long it took to get the correct exposure.
Is my LX functioning correctly? (It _was_ serviced by Pentax just 6 months

They were out when I tried it last night - the 4 seconds is
the result of streetlights etc.
