Brier also seems mystified by phenomenal consciousness (qualia). Do
you have any comments on my previous post where I explained why we
evolved to believe that such a thing exists? Do you understand or
agree with my explanation of how this belief works?

As for the previous paper on deontical impure systems being nonsense:
a paper will normally state a hypothesis, why it is important, and
then describe new experimental evidence to support (or not support)
it. I cannot tell what hypothesis this paper is trying to claim, much
less find any supporting evidence for anything. Nor do I see how it
relates to consciousness (which is not something the author claims
anyway).
