The possibility of a quantum consciousness is something that at least should be entertained not derided. And to put forth and attempt to defend a theory such as they have done should be admired, even if it eventually falls apart which it hasn’t (yet) other good things can come from it.
You can see them defend it here in this sequence of PDF’s : http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1571064513001188 IMO Matt should have two sets of brain computation numbers, one for neuron based and one microtubule based. You're wrong there is not zero evidence. [...] What Hameroff and Penrose think is pretty poor evidence. Remember that Penrose is the one who argued that the human ability to intuit mathematical truths was evidence that humans had no Godel sentence - and so the human brain could not possibly be simulated on a machine. If you can't spot the flaw in that argument, any other things you think should be regarded with suspicion. -- __________ |im |yler http://timtyler.org/ [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> Remove lock to reply.
