The problem there is, Google now has to vet and approve 3rd party markets.
One day - that *will* bite them!

There is a permission available already (
android.permission.INSTALL_PACKAGES), but Google wont list your app on
Market if you use it.. (I could be wrong here - I've never tried to use that
permission!)...
