I just looked at MailChimp and SurveyMonkey, these are interesting. But yes, not exactly for general feedback.
Thinking about a public feedback system, I'm now doubting that it will replace my internal tracker. Some filtering will certainly be needed for me to cleanly isolate specific requests from each other, add technical details, etc... But then, I'll end up with two trackers.. Not sure that's a good perspective. Therefore, what about simply using a forum for all feedback? Users are used to that. Plus it allows for friendly chat, something less formal than the feedback systems. A forum can be some place where it's not just about "company/customer" interaction, but also about discussions between users, etc... And I think that since discussions are public, it can avoid duplicate questions/reports to a certain extent. So what about a simple forum? Has yours been helpful Nathan?
