Aber genau darauf wollte ich doch hinaus: An der Stelle, an der Code momentan implementiert ist, ist garnicht klar, welches Protokoll überhaupt über die TCP-Verbindung gesprochen wird. Daher ist entsprechend unklar, welche Umgebungsvariable (es gibt ja nicht nur $http_proxy) hier nach Proxy-Informationen befragt werden muss.
