Hey here is an idea, don't do it then. I do not see anyone forcing you to do this and most people here do not even think or dream of this being supported by logitech. So exactly how does this conversation effect you so much that you want to put a stop to it? I do not disagree with your point that putting a usb->spdif converter on a device that already has decent spdif output is probably not the best use of time, but heck if people want to do it go for it.
