If the Touch + v-link + DAC sounded better than the Touch + DAC then I would either
a) get rid of my DAC, for it is not doing a very good job b) get rid of the Touch, for it is not doing a very good job If the v-link is so transformative, then why not just junk the Touch and use a cheap netbook? Or if your DAC does do a good job with s/pdif, why not just junk the Touch and use an apple Touch/iPhone running iPeng with Playback and a Pure i20 dock, cos it's much nicer to use and the same money. Or if you want a DAC with a dCS inspired wireless asyncrhronous USB input, why not just junk the Touch and get an Arcam rDAC? So much depends on your DAC.
