I don't want to put a stop to it; I just think it is silly. If you want a USB to s/pdif converter with a DAC at the s/pdif end, why put a Touch with a kludged up unsupported USB output at the USB end? You could buy a netbook with a USB output for the same money as the Touch, and use any number of direct or streamed ways to play from or through it. Much simpler
