I'm pretty sure you need to change those lines:

stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

to something like:

//COMMENT THIS OUT FOR NOWstage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.EXACT_FIT;
