Glad to know it is a Mazzer.  A few years = Yes, change burrs.  When did you 
last change?  If you have to order, be sure to get the right burrs .... I seem 
to recall there are several different designs for the SJ diameter, I do not 
recall if that is true for the original Mini .? But the electronic Mini needs a 
special burr.  buy Mazzer brand.  Might as well buy two sets ... Change every 
150 kilos = No worries.  Must change by 300 kilos. 

There in no practical way you can check ... When your technique is channeling 
free, then the appearance of channeling is your clue.
