Harnser's present position http://tinyurl.com/Harnser-s-route

We started to an overcast day which didn't improve much, there were odd
patches of sunshine but not many.
There was only one boat went south before us and that was an hour
earlier and one or two had come down. We arrived at Tyrley Locks we were
unable to close the bottom gate of the first lock, I had a poke around
with the boat hook and moved something which allowed us to close the
gates. We met a couple of boats on the way up and had no further
problems. BW were working at the top of the flight so I had a word with
them about the problem and although they were unable to attend to it
they did contact "The Office" so that someone else could sort it. We
were going to stop at Norbury Junction for diesel at 69.9 but a friend told me
it
66.9 at Wheaton Aston so I bought 130 lt there. Were were going to stay
the night as it was 5 pm by the time we had taken water but I noticed a
yellow generator on the back deck of the boat moored behind us so we
carried on to almost Brewood and moored opposite the mobile home park.
