Date - 09/09/08 Day - Tuesday Start - 0930 End - 1630 Harnser's present position http://tinyurl.com/Harnser-s-route When we woke up it was raining and that has continued on and off all day, this afternoon was a bit better but at 6 pm its chucking it down again. The first job of the day was to remoor a BW boat that had pulled out a 30" stake which I suspect was only in 18" and the rope tied to the top and a curly thing like you use to tether a dog but much heavier. I hammered the stake in to its full depth and retied the boat at deck level, not handrail and then screwed in the curly thing with a windlass handle. At least 2 boats had gone by ignored it and when I got there it was in danger of hitting the plastic boats moored on the offside. The next place of interest was the IWA National rally site, how different that looked today compared to when we passed at the Bank Holiday. Once through the stop lock we turned left up the Birmingham and Worcester canal with no more locks until Gailey. By now the weather was a bit better as we locked down running right beside the M6. We carried on to the "Cross Keys" on the outskirts of Penkridge and have moored almost outside the front door. We had been here about an hour, Diana had take Magic for a walk and the skys opened, so they both looked like drowned rats when they got back.
