You are obviously not a poker player. It certainly does matter if they other players see your cards. The trick with a royal flush is not that you are going to win. That is a given. The real win is if you can get the other players to raise for you, and thereby offering all their chips without you needing to force the hand.

(But I agree with you on the transparency/rules issue.)

Perhaps he should be on the watch list. What I would like to see is
more transparency of the information and methods that our government
uses to decide these things instead of vague references to suspicious
activities and saying "trust us". If you've got a royal flush, it
doesn't matter if people see your cards.
