I have yet to wage in these discussions about the events happening around us, but this one takes the cake.
First of all, no one here is in the government and knows exactly what is going on and what is happening. If they are and do, they wouldn't be saying anything anyways. So on that note to argue over things of which YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE TRUE FACTS ARE, is pathetic. Secondly, these discussions are like a grade school argument over whose dad could beat up whose dad. If you want to have a good debate, personal insults are not the way to go.......even if your points have some validity, you've just lost us because you have to insult the other person to be heard. My thoughts are alittle be rambled so sorry.... Everyone wanted to ignore Hitler (and we did, didn't we even try to sign peace pacts with him) and what we was doing and saying. Look what happened. Everyone wanted to (and did) ignore Japan's anger and hostility. Look what happened. And if you say you can't compare, I ask why not. What is the difference between now and then? How did we not know that Japan was going to do? The facts are that they (radical-Muslims/taliban/bin laden) do not like the Western World or people of non-Muslim faith, they want a holy war not only on the U.S. but on its allies as well. They have killed thousands of lives by attacking us. What more do we need to go to war to protect our freedom. A video that says I am at war with you and I will attack you......Oh ya, they did that too... There are many roads that could have been traveled since the attack. Any road taken would have pissed off a lot of people. Let me all ask you a question, how do you think you would handle this situation if you were Bush? Not what would you do but how would you handle it? Radical Muslims have been waging war (and had war waged on them) for hundreds and hundreds of years. You think only talking and changing our global attitude will change anything? You think only attacking and killing with change anything? It hasn't worked before, so why would it work now..... War is not nice, humane. There is no such thing as a good war. Our Government failed us on Sept 11. I however have total faith that they are working around the clock to try find the best way to protect us. They may not get it perfect right away but I know they will continue to try and that is all that I can ask.
