interesting question actually. I believe that under current law the answer
is no, since there are usually discarded embryos in the in vitro process. I
personally still say that it is ridiculous to think that twelve cells that
have implanted in a uterine wall are alive. Potentially alive, perhaps. But
clearly the eight-month-and-two week fetus is alive, since I gave birth at
that point. Where the line is in between I do not know.
