that statement ("check with your doctor") cannot be understated.
Seriously - you really should talk with your physician.  If you're a member
of a gym or are planning to join, talk with one of their trainers.  If the
gym has, or your insurance will pay for, a nutritionalist - that'd also be a
very good resource.

  Like all dramatic changes of diet, you should check with your doctor

  Look at some of the people who were the proponents of Atkins - esp Gerry
  Halliwell (sp?) AKA Ginger Spice - she went from looking healthy to
  being a stick!

  It's a "shock to the system" if you don't balance your nutrients
  properly, and your body tends to object if you're too "harsh" with
  things like this

  Personally, we just believe in eating heathily (not too much fatty foods
  or sugary stuff) and exercise - but we're both heavier than we'd like :P
