Carol...

WOW..."Do not shot the Messinger" I am just EXPLORING this question...

Being a member of both groups does cause an ethical conflict...You have to
choose where to draw the line for your decision making. If you feel the
"codes" of ethics are flawed in either group and yet go along with the
program...you by omission "bless" that "code".

Fear of the unknown often paralyzes people to step out and usually "change
agents" who see the whole pictures are expelled for acting for the best
interest of what they feel is the greater "good". And if the outcomes is
view as a benefit... these "steady or passive" individuals get the rewards
of the change agents' works...

I guess that is why individuals can see one person getting attack and the
group dynamic is such that they just watch...this is a part of the human
condition. Studies have explored this behavior...

These "status quota" or "steady" individuals will rationalize their
behaviors...and will only act in the future when it is politically correct
or safe to do so...

Not everyone has the strength or personality to be a change agent... and NOT
all change agents are "good".

There are "steady" personalities...that do not like change or fear change
and "influencing" personalities who will make changes. We NEED both types
in this forum or the "job" will not get done...that is why this breed is
fractured in the USA.

I do see the day when the "steady" personalities will say enough is enough
if the "laws" are in conflict with basic ethical behavior ...They need to
examine the greater "good". It takes time for them to feel safe in this
process...

There is NO true good or bad just different time tables for processing this
information...that is why the human condition is so complex!!!

PLEASE JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!

Take care,
Kathy Yonkers
