You didn't address this question to me but I'll answer it anyway.
For those people who were in the CKCSC USA at the time of AKC recognition
who fought and lied and damned the AKC and then promptly began to show in
both venues - yes, I agree that is hypocritical but for the main body of
cavalier owners who really never knew what went on, for the people who have
started to show in the past seven years, I don't see that it is
hypocritical at all. The AKC is the world recognized registering body for
purebred dogs in this country. The CKCSC USA still has members who breed
and show pretty nice dogs and sell some of them to pretty nice people.
Should those people be penalized and prohibited from enjoying both venues
who aren't really in competition anyhow?
The AKC is not a club that individuals belong to. Clubs are member
clubs but individuals don't even have to be members of any club to
register, breed, and show their dogs. The CKCSC USA is a club that holds
shows and gives awards to their members only. So long as the people showing
in both venues recognize them for what they are and don't sling mud at each
other, I see nothing at all wrong with it.
Because I was one of the original 12 who was involved at the time
of recognition, I wouldn't go near CKCSC USA shows (nor would I be welcome)
but I can't be angry at every member of their club or at anyone who likes
to show as much and in as many places as they can.
         Thoughts on this anyone?
         Julie
