I totally agree that from our standpoint, it does seem that we are the ones
being logical and rational. After all, we have been showing and breeding
for many, many years so we look at it that way because our experiences have
caused us to do so.
But I don't think I could say that those who think differently are being
illogical or irrational. They are looking at the issue a different way
simply because their past experiences and/or goals have been different from
ours. Their feelings are just as valid as ours are. I could well imagine
how they feel by being called illogical and irrational--I know how I would
feel! To have ones honest feelings be called illogical and irrational would
not be very likely to bring about good faith feelings towards those of us
who are attempting to make these changes. Maybe we should accept their
feelings as valid and move on to the next step.
