I once ran a dog in the Excellent Standard course when it had been pouring down all night. There was one part of the course that was completely waterlogged. And I mean up to my Cavalier's elbows. She was, of course, horrified and hackneyed through the lake with a disdained look on her face and then a glare! I had just asked her to jump a bar jump which then lead her to the large puddle/lake to the next tire jump and the spectators were amused to hear me give her the command "swim, swim" !! Needless to say, we did not make time but qualified otherwise. Anne
