First place, humans do not mated LOL...they either have sex or make love due to the motive behind it. I think what Renee is trying to relay is that for every person with AIDS there is 99% that is HIV positive. Years ago at the beginning of this pandemic (AIDS)...testing and confidential handling of those results was problematic.
Interesting is that a few studs get blamed for the MVD prevalence in this breed. This is polygenetic and deeply penetrated in ALL lines...it will just take a certain cross and/or threshold in ones breeding program for it to present itself. It takes 5 generations to know how their breeding program will work and identify the areas that may be problematic...there are individuals on this list that has been in this breed for 25 years.
