Here is my point and the reason that I asked the question. The restriction
on the gene pool is just as tight on the use of studs as it is on the
selling of puppies. I think that it is clear that very few stud owners would
allow use to the male just as very few breeders will sell with full
registration. All of this changes the gene pool and narrows it greatly.

Again, I am not commenting either way on my own opinion on this matter, I am
simply pointing out the effect it has on genetic diversity of the breed in
this country as opposed to other countries.
