Myra, You seem to be setting up a self-fulfilling prophecy by already concluding that pet owners in CKCSC will vote against the proposal to allow AKC dogs. Pet owners will ultimately have to pay the medical expenses for their dogs and therefore have just as much vested interest as breeders in securing the best breedings for health as well as conformation. My medical expenses for my first Cavalier, Ophit von der Zauberhecke, totaled over $15,000 from the time I acquired him at seven until he died from heart failure at 12 years 3 months.Tom Faulkner
