Yes, Suze, you are absolutely right....many breeders will offer to take
the puppy back.....and, after spending a month, or three years with
the family, how many do you expect to take you up on the offer?  Yes,
I'm sure it does happen occasionally, but I'm also sure it's the exception
rather than the rule.  My little Fiona is from an unethical breeder.  I
would never have returned her, even if the offer had been made (which, it
wasn't).  When I went to her breeder for help, she wouldn't even give me
pedigree information on her.  This was five years ago, and I'd never sent her
AKC papers in because I knew she'd be spayed.

Suze, I'm with you...I don't think any breeder should guarantee for health.
Rather, I'd like to see mandated testing of breeding stock.  I know nature
can throw some hideous curve balls....all I'm asking is that we stack the
deck as much in our Cavaliers favor as possible.
