The DON usually makes the call, but sometimes she will look to me for clarification if she isn't sure.  I also have a question that is not related to MDS or anything else like it.  What does the CATFL stand for after your RN?

Thanks!  I've found a vast difference among facilities as to the specifics of MDS Coordinator responsibility (hence my question to the group)! 
On a related note, in your facility whom makes the final decision as to whether the resident meets Medicare A/skilled criteria eligibility...usually has been the DON or NHA in my past facilities.
