Are you still trying to run 7.6!?! Well no wonder you've got so many
problems! :-) 

As for working around CRTs, my bloated corpse is likely going to be found
one day laying next to a compact, but I have seriously never heard of anyone
dying from such a shock. I'm all for preventative safety, but seriously: has
anyone ever known anyone who suffered such an injury, much less death?

P.S. the Carson reference was mainly referring to talk shows in general
(which I know you have) -- much easier to visit for 90 minutes than sustain
side-splitting comedy. SNL tends to take a simple improvisational idea and
go way beyond the logical conclusion in order to fill the time. It's
mind-splitting instead. Monty Python was what, 1/2 hour? Very funny stuff!
