Update AV program, search, etc.
Command prompt:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
Firewall issues
DNS server hops from a tracert
Do you have anything specific you want to keep on this computer?
I would do a restore to original x64 image.
Check to make sure your network card drivers are completely up to
date, and make sure that you are running 10/100 full-duplex, not some
half 100mbps junk:
You find these settings in the device manager under your NIC card.
Try connecting your computer directly to your internet modem, restart
both and see if the magic of disaster still persists.
