Got home today and power up the Dell, same ol problem. Browser says connecting... but never connects, same problem with pinging stuff. Rebooted and went into safe mode with networking. Logged in as same user, windows fired up, opened browser and on line instantly. Rebooted, logged on normally, disabled firewall in McAfee, rebooted and logged in normal, no internet. Rebooted into safe mode, internet working and checked, McAfee running but no real time protection of phishing protection. Rebooted normally turned off real time protection and everything I could in McAfee, rebooted, same thing, no internet. Rebooted, went back into safe mode with networking, on the internet instantly. Rebooted, went back in and turned the McAfee stuff back on, still no internet.
Only way I can get on right now is rebooting in safe mode. Something is keeping me from getting online that fires up when I log in normally and have no clue what it might be or how to diagnose what the root cause might be. Any help?
