Over this last summer, hubby and I made some of the doughnuts from canned biscuits. I had forgotten how good those are! My mom made them for us when we were little, because the biscuits were cheap, not to mention fun to do with kids. Anyway, hubby and I rolled them in cinnamon and sugar, then some of the others in powdered sugar. We also used a bottle cap to cut out holes in them, then fried the doughnut holes. I had a house full of kids that morning, and the doughnuts were gone as soon as we laid them on the cookie sheets to cool. They were good, but a heck of a mess. I can't imagine doing them without the help of my husband. I don't like to deep fry things much, it makes me nervous as all get out.
