        A recent issue of a magazine I read here in the US, comments
that a 'moderator' that is well designed will actually enhance the muzzle
velocity of the bullet - granted not by much, but it does happen. You
might look into that aspect, as well as discharging some of your subsonic
ammo without a moderator, and see if that is affecting your noise.

This is another possibility we considered - the American subsonic ammo
is not intended to be fired out of a suppressor, Eley is, that seemed
to be okay.
