    1 Deuteronomy 26:16-19
    Psalm 119:1-2,4-8
    Matthew 5:43-48

A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

Lent is a time of preparation for Jesus, a time to leave our wayward
paths behind and once more be reconciled to our Father in Heaven.
While our God is a loving and merciful Father who desires to do great
work in and through us, we reject His power and distance ourselves
from His grace if we do not actively prepare our hearts and minds,
creating a spiritual space for His presence.

Our Lady calls for daily conversion through prayer, fasting,
reconciliation, the blessed Eucharist and reflection on scripture.
Especially during this special time of Lent let us hear her words and
renew again our decision to put God first place in our lives. Let us
reflect this decision by giving more time to God this season, so that
He can transform our lives!

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
