Yes.

Right, split seconds are not supported in dt. Could you provide a sampel file 
where that is used? My cameras don't write anything smaller than a second.

dt used to be able to backup while copying, no idea if that code is still 
there or if it got removed when importing was refactored. I never used it.

So even though some of the features are (or were) in dt, too, it's still no 
replacement for RPD.

Even though that answer might be getting old, but maybe a really sophisticated 
Lua script would be a nice way to do this. Currently our Lua API isn't there 
yet, but I can see it being pushed enough to make this possible.
