People who have openssl-devel-engine installed on F44 also have openssl-devel installed. openssl-devel exists on F45, but conflicts with openssl3-devel. Wouldn’t marking openssl3-devel-engine as providing and obsoleting openssl-devel-engine just lead to an attempt to install both openssl-devel and openssl3-devel-engine on F45, and therefore to a conflict? NB: I made that point in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2527847#c1. Engines were deprecated in Fedora 41 (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/OpensslDeprecateEngine). Maybe it’s finally time to let them go? They’re fully removed from OpenSSL 4 anyway. -- Clemens Lang RHEL Crypto Team Red Hat -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/[email protected] Do not reply to spam, report it: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/infra/tickets/issues/new
