The deprecation was about no new packages could depend on engines. Existing engines were explicitly allowed to continue to exist until openssl3 is removed (which will happen eventually, but not today, and not in F45). So, openssl3-devel-engine must be shipped (somewhere), along with openssl3-devel, although the upgrade path may be complicated (Personally I can even accept some manual work involved, although it would be desirable if it was fully automated). Obviously openssl4 does not support engines, and the openssl(implied 4)-devel-engine package should not (can not) exist. -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/[email protected] Do not reply to spam, report it: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/infra/tickets/issues/new
