No... Coming from one of those opinionated people, the question is simple: Is "User Centered Design" user centered or not? If the answer is yes, the user is truly the center of all things when it comes to designing a product, then I posit that's a really incomplete, poor way of designing anything since having the center of the design process be on the user isn't always the right way to make a decision or approach a design problem, for a variety of practical reasons. If the answer is no, user centered design isn't always focused on the user and the center of everything, then change change the damn label already.
