I couldn't agree with this more. I have a bad taste in my mouth for  
Six Sigma, not because the SS process is broken, but because the  
implementations that I've seen broad and deep have been flawed, or  
implemented for the wrong thing—it's not great for web development.

Methods are just a means to an end and a methodology or process is  
only as good as it's implemented. If it breaks, 9 times out of 10 are  
"we" simply didn't implement it correctly.
