So, I've recently started going to yoga to help relieve my persistent back pain. I hope it helps because I'm too young for this kind of rubbish. I've been looking for lumbar support pillows and/or other devices that will force me to not slouch while sitting at a desk. While looking at Amazon I realized sending an email to the group might be really helpful.
I see you've already had some answers in this direction, but I'm going to come right out and say a few things. I don't know you, and so have no idea of your physical condition, but if you have any extra weight around your midsection, the very first thing you should do is to lose it. You aren't too young unless you're under 25, and not even then, really.
In addition to the other suggestions, I will also point out that if you have a backpack, or briefcase, or small children, you may be aggravating the pain unknowingly. You can always switch to something with wheels (not the children, please don't put wheels on your children).
How your desk is arranged is important. What you're sitting on is important. Adam mentioned not staying in the same position for long periods of time, and this is important. Get up. Go get a drink of water. Walk around for a minute or two.
You should also pay attention to whether or not there is arthritis in your family. I do not refer to rheumatoid arthritis, but to osteoarthritis, which often appears even as young as 35, if there were past injuries to the bone (even ones you don't remember).
