As many have said, becoming more active worked for me.  Going to the
gym, running, biking, something like that to get you moving.  I spent
a lot of time performing back exercises in the gym.  As long as you
don't overdo it and hurt yourself, you will get stronger and the pain
will go away.

General (not caused by injury) back pain is caused by weak muscles, so
this really is the key.  There are all sorts of products out there
promising you miracle cures, but they are just a patch on top of the
real problem and don't help to actually fix it.
