That pose was just the last straw. I still do yoga and it helps. A lot.

I'm really only responding because I built and use, like now, one of these: http://www.treadmill-desk.com/ Costco/Reebok $700 treadmill and put a board, more or less, on top of the handle bars. Vibrates. If you do you own make a freestanding desk that doesn't touch the treadmill. Which is what I'll do to my prototype when I get around to it. When I sit now it doesn't feel right. There's something wrong with sitting. I sit at lunch and have to stand up after 45 min. Don't have to run the 'mill all the time, just stand, walk when you want. Did 145 minutes @ 1mph today. Also, exercise everyday. At home run in place, elliptical, exercise ball, bands, pilates, yoga. Watch the news. Formal yoga class, pilates class.. It works. For everyone. In some manner at least. I'm 60 1/2. Started yoga, slowly, at 52. At 57 sciatica. Now, better than ever. Really. I feel my reactions getting faster, the lesions in my brain are going away. I'm getting younger. Ymmv. Started using the elliptical for 5 minutes a day. Start slow. Really important with me: Start slow, gradually build up.
