I mean the package repository you added to get the later KDE.

It's one way individuals can make packages available.
https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA
If it's not in your sources.list, etc., then your request to install KDE
when none is installed won't find this latest backported one, just the
pucker one in the standard repos. You may have to `sudo apt-get update'
after removing it to make the system forget about its contents.
