Technology does have its ups and downs, but why not notify your customers when you go down????? I have used the Sterling Commerce VAN for over 10 years and they are good at letting you know when they are doing updates, when they are refreshing or having to shut down for patches at nite. Then they even send out emails to let you know when it is back up. We have not had services go down during production hours ever that I can remember. They "take care of their customers." We send out PO's to our VAN they go to GXS to our vendor and ..... ??????? We had 17 orders that ?????? did they get them? Why can't GXS inform their customers when they go down????
