Hi Bob,

Would this wording be better?

"The EOS 3 and 1v are supposed to autofocus optimally on
horizontal and diagonal detail with lenses faster than f/8
or even f/9. Autofocus works even more optimally on
horizontal and vertical detail with lenses faster than f/4."

Canon's description of the HP/NP AF system confused me
terribly when I was camera shopping. I get the same feeling
when looking at lenses marked with "Ultrasonic" and "Macro"
%-/
