Hi Tom,

All the Rebels can do Evaluative (Matrix), 9.5% Partial and
Centre-weighted metering.  Unfortunately this is tied to the
camera operating mode.

If you upgrade, maybe you could give/sell your old Rebel
lens mount to Dave Kandz?
