  Nope. Not that I know. And it's kind of intermittent when I tested 
for it. I don't believe Canon ever issued a fix for it.

  In reality, though, I've never actually encountered it myself in 
actual use. Outdoors I tend to use slower film and don't use flash 
fill that often. But, yes, the lack of E-TTL and FP flash on the Elan 
is a big issue.
