I went from an EOS 300 to an EOS 3 this summer, and I'm VERY happy... The price is
acceptable, and I think it can justify the ~$200 difference over the EOS 30. After
handling the 3 for four months now, I wouldn't dream of picking up a 300. The 300 is a
great camera, but it's so tiny (I found it too small to handle without the BP200, but
the 3 is great even without the PB-E2).

My sister has a Minolta SLR camera, and it's great for her use (mostly (holiday)snaps
and macro), my father has an old MF Nikon-tank (25+ years old and serviced for the
first time last summer), my mother has an Olympus compact, and I've got Canon... Weird
family, eh?
