Hi Michael - I've just had a look at my Metz brochure and sure enough, I had circled the 54MZ3 to further investigate. The Metz would be on only other choice besides Canon. Have you heard of any compatibility problems with it? My catalog lists so many options that I get confused as to what I really want vs what I really need. But you're correct, the 54MZ3 seems to offer even more than the Canon 550EX. Now I've got a real dilemma. My choice seems now to be between the Canon 420EX and the Metz. I would appreciate it if you could tell me more about how the Metz system goes together and what "options" I would need. I've admired, but never used a Metz flash before so any help would be appreciated.
